Childwall Trophy Round 1 Rules

Conditions of Entry:
The Competition will be a stroke play event over 36 holes, the winner of which will the competitor with the lowest 36 hole gross score who will hold the Childwall Trophy for the ensuing Year.
Competitors who also play in the sister event, the Grange Park Rose Bowl, will qualify for World Amateur Golf ranking points in accordance with the R & A rules governing such 72 hole competitions. There will also be prizes for the best three aggregate scores over the two events.
The player with the best 72 hole gross score will be declared the winner of the combined event and will hold Pilkington Rose Bowl, for the ensuing year.
Entries for the Childwall Trophy will close at 5.00pm on Monday 7th August 2023 and must be accompanied by the full entrance fee. In the event of a competitor having to scratch the entry fee will be forfeited.
Starting times will be emailed, by 8th August 2023, to those competitors who have been accepted. Competitors who were eliminated by ballot will be notified and have their fees refunded.
No competitor may receive more than one prize in the Childwall Trophy.
Competitors will be made temporary honorary members of the Childwall Golf Club Ltd on the day of the competition and will be expected to abide by the rules of the Club.
The competition committee will settle all disputes and its decisions will be final.
In the event of a tie the rules of the Lancashire Union of Golf Club will apply.
The Club reserves the right to refuse an entry without specifying a reason.
Any competitor whose handicap has changed between the date of entry and the day of the competition shall inform the committee of any such alteration. Failure to do so may lead to disqualification.
All Trophies will remain the property of the respective Golf Clubs.
